Gingerbread Houses - family workshop

The When:

November 19, 2022

Saturday 10:00-12:00

The Why:

• step-by-step instructions for easy building

• use of templates for precise cutting

• learning how to use slabs for pottery

• make a handmade holiday heirloom

• doesn’t attract ants

• create together to create memories together

• we WELCOME any adults who just want to work on their own too!

• Create in a supportive community with clay

The Who:

• Ages 7+ (under 11 must be accompanied by an adult)

• up to 2 people may work on one house

• drop off available for those over the age of 11

The What:

• 2 hours in length

• build a gingerbread house approximately 10” tall

• all materials and instruction included

• 2 kiln firings included (you will have a take home paint kit to glaze at home, then return when complete)

• please wear clothes that are ok to get dirty

• we are not requiring masks at this time

• this is our 15th year of offering this workshop. It is one of the BEST!

  1. Local pick up only.

  2. CREATE! The process of this workshop is so enjoyable. You can be detailed or be a minimalist, it is all up to you and what you like. We have had gnome houses build, adobe houses, and inspirations from Frank Lloyd Wright through the years, every house becomes a work of art for any and all ages

  3. When you are ready you will drop off your completed gingerbread house (keep wet for easy transporting) where we will fire in our kilns

  4. you will choose to use a glaze that will take an additional firing or paints that will not need an additional firing, we will email when your house is ready for pick up

  5. those that choose to use glazes your work will be fired a second time after you have applied the glazes
