Throwing a Cylinder

If you’ve had a taste of the pottery wheel and love creating and are ready to start building your skills or feel like you want a refresher, this is for you! Great for beginners and pottery enthusiasts!

Throwing a cylinder is a phenomenal foundation for being able to really hone your skills and the jumping off point to control what you throw (although, there will always be days where the clay still decides what it wants to be).

In this 1.5 hour throwing intensive, we’ll work on:

• creating a cylinder

• achieving even wall thickness

• reviewing how much clay is best for what vessels

Workshop includes 3lbs of clay and firing for 1 vessel.

Requirements:

Must be able to center clay independently.
